It is easy, in the modern world, to forget to acknowledge people in lasting ways. We are surrounded by amazing people, but we don't take the time to document them in the ways that would honor them.
This is a retirement book for a college professor. We got a list of all his students, in the 40+ years he taught, sent everyone we could find an email, and got back hundreds of responses from all over the world. His students told him where they'd gotten, how he'd helped them, how fondly they remembered him. Now he has that powerful tribute, better than a watch, more meaningful than a plaque.
